So you can record a thought by voice while you hold the record button. The recording is saved on your device and is never uploaded. If you never record by voice, you can leave the permission denied — nothing else uses it.
Your entries are encrypted before storage, and there is no social feed or profile. There is one exception worth knowing: the AI features (automatic tagging, reports, reflections) need the plain text of the content involved and send it to our AI model provider. This is described in full in the Privacy Policy. You can avoid it by not using those features.

Email us from the address associated with your account and we will remove your account record and associated server-side data within 30 days. Deleting the app removes the data held on your phone.
